Mayflower Transit And All American Moving Services ripoff have extremely unethical business people working for them, This is the worst display I have seen of exploiting consumer needs. Aurora Colorado And Saint Louis Missouri
These companies took 5 weeks to deliver my moving inventory from Colorado to PA. When they arrived to pick up my inventory, they could not fit it into one truck, because the driver had already filled the truck with other customers' inventory.
My shipment was split up into 2 trucks, which they never explained could happen. The first load arrived in a timely fashion, within a week, but the driver and his wife were very difficult to work with and quite rude. During one conversation, the driver's wife was complaining to me that they had no money.
The second shipment did not arrive until 5 weeks later. During that time, my inventory sat in the warehouse, collecting cigarette smoke. When it finally arrived, all of my clothes reeked of smoke, and they had broken two lamps, an air conditioner and a tea pot.
The two men that delivered that shipment intimidated me into signing an authorization slip for more charges to my credit card. I refused because the shipment was already 5 weeks late, and they wanted to charge me for the storage fees.
When I refused, the two men informed me they would not leave my home until I signed for the additional charges. I was alone that day, and the two men were twice my size. I filed a claim for the smoke damaged clothes, the lamps, air conditioner, and replacement items I had to purchase in those 5 weeks I was without my inventory. All claims were denied.
Now, in November (the move was in April) they are sending me threatening notices that state I owe them another $572.00. All charges were billed directly to my credit card, so I disputed $572 which is what I spent in replacement items. The credit card company sent the dispute to them, and six months later they are trying to get that money paid by ME!
When moving, do NOT NOT NOT use Mayflower Transit or any of its agents. Their unethical business practices begin at the top and trickle down to the rest of the organization. These people are the most unprofessional and unethical group I have ever encountered. In my work, I am introduced to dozens of companies every month, and this is the worst display I have seen of exploiting consumer needs.
