Mayomann Employment Huntstaff, Inc. Credit Report Scam Victoria, British Columbia Canada
I encountered Mayomann when applying for a position with a company called Arnel management, which has a professional looking website that appears to be legit. When I clicked to apply, I was redirected to Mayomann and was instructed to use their job board, just as you would with a reputable service. Supposedly the consultant working on the vacancy was 'Lisa Dawson'. Several days later I receive an email from 'Jenna Dawson' of Huntstaff Inc, requesting that I go to their website, input the code she sent me and complete candidate screening.
The candidate screening existed of choosing one of two statements in a list of about 30 pairs of statements. You click next, and are told that to complete the screening you need to provide a credit score, and offers you a link to obtain the score, before you continue. I was suspicious but proceeded cautiously. First, they asked for my contact info then, on the next screen, they asked for my social security number. I stopped right there. I wanted to apply for the position at Arnel, however I was unable to proceed and was not about to give out my social security number to a questionable entity such as this.
