Complaint Review: Mayor's Jewelers

 Mayor's Jewelery store in Dadeland Mall are true scammers.  After having a Tag watch repaired on 2 prior occasions for a total of over $500, I took the watch for repair of the band.  The watch was left in August 2014.  Not until November 2014 did I call them to find out status.  They advised that Tag wouild not work on the watch since the serial number had been removed.  Sp dpes it take 3 months for me to call to find this out?

Mayors argues that the watch did not have a serial number and was not purchased from a authorized dealer. The watch was authentic and was purchased in Dubai from one of the largest retailers of Tag.  I have the original documents and show for a fact that the serial number that WAS on the watch was the same as my original documents that came with the watch.

Mayors skirted around the situation and did nothing for another 9 months.  From reading other reviews of watch repairs at this store, the staff says the watch goes to the manufacturer but they actually send to the Mayor's repair facility.  They fail to acknowledge that one or more of their employees is committing fraud.  I would not be surprised if they swap diamonds - good for not as good.  The staff are very rude and never return phone calls. 

Think twice before bringing anything of value to Mayor's for repair.  You will lose your precious jewelry and get back another piece that is not yours.
