I had purchased a Neptune MAW3000 in June 99 for $1100. It worked great for 3 years. And then died. Had insides completely replaced. Fortunately my new home warranty covered it or it would have been $800+. It took the home warranty people 3months to find someone who could do the work. Finally got it running after being down for 4 months and it dies again 5 months later. Water pump replaced $80. OK for 2 more months and dies. Insides have to be completely replaced again. I am very mad with lots of laundry and a disability that makes it very painful to load a top load washer. All along Maytag Customer Service is trying to convince me that appliances break and they are not responsible.

I posted and wrote a mad letter to maytag on a green site. With in 30days Maytag Customer Service contacted me wanting to repair at no cost or replace for a small fee. Repair is only warranted for 1year. I chose to replace.
They took into account the out of pocket money I spent to repair the lemon and came up with $225. It is alot less then a brand new front loader. I recieved a brand new 5500. And I am currently happy with lots of laundry washed.
