On Novemeber 19, 2008 an electronic check was debited out of my account. On the check at the top left hand side it had my name (maiden last name) and and address that I had not been at since February 2006. The check was for $29.99 and was payed to MB Hot Planet Customer Service.

I did not subscribe to any websites or anything on the internet which is what the Market Billing (MB) company claimed that Hot Planet had told them so that the check was processed. There is only the 1-866-572-5111 number which was on the check. When I spoke with someone at that # they had no contact information for Hot Planet only and e-mail address which is support@mbsupportcenter.com.

I ,however, have done some research and it looks like my information was possibly leaked out by Mary Kay cosmetics for which I used to be a consultant. I have also learned that other places that information has possibly been compromised is Bank of America, Wachovia & Countrywide. So my next step is that I will be contacting Mary Kay. Also when I was a consultant for Mary Kay I went by the name on the check and was living at that address and wouldn't you know it I signed up using the checking account # that was compromized. I do not use that account anymore and have rarely used it since 2006.

If I find out anymore info I will be sure to post it.
