Complaint Review: MB Pink Home Entertainment Co

While doing a routine check of my checking account on-line I found an amount of $39.99 debited. I did not know of anything that I paid with that amount so I pulled up and copied the used check. I found that it was an check on Southtrust Bank which was the name of my bank, Wachovia, until 3 1/2 years ago. It was also to a company that I had never heard of - Pink Home Ent. So I called the phone number listed as "customer service" on the canceled check and learned that this "customer service" was really just a billing service. They could not, or would not tell me anything about Pink Home - no address, ph number or purpose - only that it was an "Internet Only" company. So I went on-line to try to locate. I was able to find it only by using Google and found other people had encountered the same problem I just had. As recommended by the "customer service" rep, I went to my bank and was put in touch by telephone with the Fraud division representative. She went about restoring my money and suggested that I change my account. I told her that I didn't see the point in that since the account used by Pink Home was an old account that had been closed over three years. She told me that Wachovia has had many complaints about this particular co. When I asked why Wachovia did not do something to Pink Home she said that they could not since they were not the victim. I called the "customer service" on the check again and asked why they continued to do business with this fraudulent co. The man I spoke to told me that he would report my comments to his supervisor when he came in.....Ha
