I am a small business owner in Alabama. I was approached by Rob Jernigan several times in 06, & 07 to get a credit card machine from him. I told him no everytime. He was very persistant and pushy! He told me the last time he came by that if I would just try it for 3 months I wouldn't be charged a dime other than the % when the machine was used. He told me if I didn't want it after the 3 months, he would come and get it and I would owe nothing. At anyrate he CONNED me into it. Im in a small town and really don't need a credit card machine but to get him off my back I decided to try it. A few weeks later I went to my mail box and low and behold I had some checks to bounce! I go to the bank to investigate the reasons when it shouldn't have happened. There was a company called MBF leasing that had been taking money out of my account that I had no idea who they were or why they were doing that. I immediatly called Rob. He said that wasn't suppose to happen and that he would refund any money that had been taken out and refund any money that I was out for the bounced checks. Again, I was foolish and waited for him to take care of this problem. A few days later the same thing happened. I called Rob and told him to come get his machine and give me my money. He again agreed. I waited on him 2 or 3 different times but he never showed up. Then one day unexpectedly, he came in and had his little girl with him. He was a little hostile to begin with and when I didn't back down he began to curs and yell at me and my employees! He called us and I quote,"Stupid a*s rednecks". I had him arrested because I had customers present at the time. Anyway,I won that case, but now MBF has put this on my credit! I'm so upset! I am not gona take this lying down! I'm gonna fight this company at all costs! Rob, you done messed with the wrong "stupid a*s redneck!!!!!!!! I was never presented the MBF contract! I only learned of it when it came in the mail. I'm also not the only victom in my town. There are at least 3 others. I've always been told there are strength in numbers ! Any more suggestions to help would be appreciated.

Robert Jernigan, Here. I just read this posting and I don't know what to say.So I'll Say this, My Company Does not make false promises to it Clients we have over 4500 active Customers.
All over the country. Are we or I perfect well No!!!!!!
But I"m Not Here to Defend My Self, Just to set the record straight.

What I dont Understand is how people take a minor oversight and turn it into a great big pile of well, I think you get the Idea.What I'm mean to say is simply this,
The report I'm writing about makes a lot of claims. Like, didn't know about the lease
she agreed to, she stated. Thats funny to me. I'll tell you why.When I lease
any type of equipment for a client ,I put every detail in writing and they have to sign stating they understand and agree. I still have the signed ( By Her ) copy of that lease. Not to Mention when that leased equipment is installed they have to do a voice verification of that agreement, and verbally say yes! they know and understand the terms and again agree to them. And those are recorded. So much for not knowing about a lease, that she signed and voice verified.her whole statement is full of statements and she leaves out alot of the story. Very one sided
I deal with alot of people and understand I can't always make everybody happy.
I did go to visit this former Client and offered to get her out of this lease and to
refund any monies she had spent even after one of her employees called me to inform me that she had pick up and threw my equipment across her store in a fit of rage.at that point I knew no matter what the situation was we just needed to close this account.It was what I felt would be the best solution for all.I asked her for proof of cost so that we could verify them and get her to date out of pocket exspenses refunded. And we could then part ways respectfully.
As she stated I had my then 7 year old daughter with Me She was out of School and working with daddy.I assure you my Children are my life and you wont find a living soul any where that will tell any diffrent I did not use Foul Languge in front of my daughter or so much as raise my Voice. She Said I Called her a name.
As I was leaving She Came Up Behind Me and shoved my left shoulder forward and Cursed me to leave her store ( as I was Headed For The Door I might Add.) I stopped and turned looked at her and Said And People Wonder What rednecks Act Like.if thats a Crime lock me up and throw away the key Im Guilty.
