Complaint Review: MBNA America

MBNA has reported an account on my credit report which is how I learned of this company. I do not have an account with MBNA and I have never received a statement of charges from this company. I have written three letters requesting proof of this debt and this company refuses to acknowledge my request. I have called MBNA and was told the account had been sold.

The credit bureau said they investigated the account and found it to be accurate and that I should dispute it with the company and I have disputed it however the credit report fails to show this dispute. I filed a compaint with the Federal Trade Commssion but have not received contact yet. I don't know what else to do to get this account that does not belong to me off my report.
