MBNA America Mail Fraud
We keep recieving blank checks from this company, making it seem as if we have a visa credit card with them, which we don't and never have, if these checks fall into the wrong hands and someone uses them I will not be responsible for the debt. I shred all the checks that come here, but I think as many people as possible should know that this is going on and there should be a way to stop them, Iwould like to know if I have grounds to sue them for using the mail to defraud the public. Thank you for the rip off alert.

When MBNA pulls your credit report to offer you their services, you better pay attention. They add that account, without your acceptance, to the credit report and that's why you keep getting checks, but no statements or agreements. It happened to us. So, it's EXTREMELY important to call the above number and CLOSE that account. The one you didn't open!
(Nothing bad happened to us with the unauthorized account, but it could and it's too nervy of them to stand.)

To prevent a possible identity theft I think it would be wise to call them. You are right, you are not repsonsible, but it is easier to prevent a credit hitory problem than to clean it later.
