On August 10, 2013, at approximately 3:15 pm, I, responded to 611 Valencia Place Circle, in

reference to a possible fraudulent scheme. Upon arrival I met with the victim, .

Victim stated that she had met Miguel Caraballo through her previous job at a staffing agency. Caraballo

pitched an investment idea to Colon stating that he could purchase Samsung Galaxy cell phones in bulk at a

discounted price for Colon to sell and make a profit. Caraballo advised Colon that if she put forward $500, she

would receive the phones at a discounted price because he had another investor putting forward more money.

A few days after Colon fronted $500 for the phones, Caraballo advised that he was going to need an additional

$1,000 because his other investor backed out of the deal. Caraballo told Colon that if she wanted to continue to

move forward, he would need the money as soon as possible because the promotion would not last much longer.

Colon fronted another $1,225.

Caraballo instructed Colon to deposit the money into a Bank of America account under the name Lyuaza Mains,

who Caraballo claimed was his girlfriend. The account number was Colon deposited the money

at the Bank of America on East Colonial Drive near Econlockhatchee Trail.

Over the next several days, Colon and Caraballo exchanged text messages with regards to invoice and tracking

numbers that Caraballo promised to provide, which he did not. Eventually, Colon told Caraballo that she no

longer wished to continue, and requested a refund, as she never received the phones or any confirmation that a

legitimate transaction was taking place. On August 2nd, Caraballo advised Colon that a refund would take a day

or two to process, but he continued to ask for more money, claiming that he had additional investors. To date,

Colon has not received a refund or any proof that what Caraballo is doing is a legitimate business.

When asked how she learned his name, Colon advised she recalls him handing her his Florida ID at the staffing

agency where she first met him.

Colon used Google to investigate Caraballo, to which she found an address for his business, MC Electronics

World Corp, at 2786 Tropical Lane, Kissimmee, Florida 34741. Colon advised that she is willing to testify and

prosecute in court.
