I had McAfee Total Protection and went to McAfee.com to renew my subscription. I noticed they had a rebate, so I took advantage of that and paid for McAfee Total Protection 2013 and then downloaded the rebate form, as instructed.

I read the rebate instructions and carefully filled out the rebate form and enclosed it along with the Proof of Purchase email that McAfee emailed me. The email says: Please keep this email as your proof of purchase.

I got a tracking number for my rebate and went to the McAfee rebate tracking site. It says my rebate status is invalid because proof of upgrade wasn't sent in.

This is a COMPLETE lie. I sent in everything they requested, circled the item purchased, etc. I followed the instructions 100%.

I would've never renewed my subscription had it not been for the rebate McAfee offered. They are baiting people into buying their product and then lying and saying you didn't send in something they needed for the rebate and, therefore, you no longer qualify for the rebate. This is pure thievery and must be stopped.
