Complaint Review: McAfee

Back in early September, I have purchased McAfee Antispyware product with $25 rebate. I have sent the rebate form with UPC and purchase receipt the same day. Since then, I haven't heard anything from McAfee, NO email, NO postcard, nothing.

In the past several weeks, since I can't even find my rebate status from McAfee rebate center website, I have sent several emails requesting answers to my rebate status via their rebate website, the answer is very slow (even the website promises answers in 24 hours). The answer is expected, that my rebate is
not even in their system so they lost all my original documents!!! And their rebate website deliberately doesn't show a phone number so desperate people can't even call so people can just give up on their rebates.

Fortunately, I have made photo copies of my rebate form along with UPC, so I still have records of what I have sent to McAfee. Imaging people don't made copies for their records, what should they do? I think this is a deliberate design of act to rip off their own customers.

After many troubles to locate their rebate center phone number for several weeks, finally I have found
their phone number 1-866-880-9644 and talked to their rebate representative. She told me that my rebate is not even in the system as expected. Then she gave me the fax number 1-800-886-8370 and ask me to fax in the photocopy.

Since early last week I have faxed copies of rebate receipt, purchase receipt and UPC code several times,
and today after a week, I called their rebate center again, and you guess right, my rebate is still NOT in the system !!! (even she said the fax will be reflected in the system in 48 hours) I don't know whether I will ever get my rebate check from McAfee???
