Complaint Review: McCann Law Group

I entered into an agreement with McCann Law Group in March of 2013 to try to get my home loan modified.  They asked for a huge retainer which I paid. They sent me papers to fill out and said that I had to have them signed and back to them within 48 hrs.  This should have been a red flag!  Sent the papers back and never heard from them until 3 months later, the first of June to ask why all the paperwork had not been sent to the Bank because now the Bank had sold my mortgage to another Bank.  They sent my information to the second bank ONLY after I got angry. {June 10th}  We you call to complain all of the sudden they switch you to another person and it starts all over.

Meanwhile I am paying them monthly to do nothing. Then in September, another three months gone by with no services, I finally got someone, Angie Collins, to find out what was going on.  She said she would call me within 3 business days.  Nine days later I sent an email and she responded that my paperwork was now out of date. NO KIDDING!!!

Sent all required paperwork again only to have her tell me a week later that the 2 papers the Bank actually needed were lost.  I faxed them again and said I wanted this resolved.

After talking to the Bank a week after all this only to find out that not only had they not sent the papers to them, they had only talked to them once in all this time and that the Bank could not modify my loan due to me being in bancruptcy which they had told this company months ago.  

I am out almost $10,000. I have asked for a full refund ten days ago and to this date have not heard ONE word from them.

This company is unethical. grossly incompetent and are running a scam.  Run as fast as you can from this company.  DO NOT DO BUSINESS with them!! They will not help they will only make it worse.

I am contacting the BBB, the attorney general for the state of Florida and the bar association.  These people should not represent the law profession.
