Complaint Review: Mc Combs Automotive Company

I, the consumer, have been looking for a used car. Today 10/23/03 I read an ad in the Laredo Times which listed a 1990 Honda Accord in excellent condition.

I dialed the Mc Combs dealership on Saunders and Ramiro the salesman answered the call. He said he had the car on the lot. I drove to the used car lot and then we both walked to the back of the car lot.

The car is being sold as in "excellent condition". The Honda had dents in the front and back and also on the sides and the underside had something hanging under it. The inside was dirty the car radio was missing and the wires in that area were hanging out and the seats were dirty also the overall general appearance was less then excellent.

I told Ramiro that the car did not rate an "excellent" condition rating as they listed on the classified ad and asked him if he really thought the car was in "excellent condition" he said it was even with the discrepancies noted.

I believe the company listed a deceptive ad - saying the Honda is in excellent condition leading one to believe the car is in excellent condition and making me the consumer go to the dealership by decept - once there finding out it was a hoax.
