Recently I went to Mcdonalds with the kids on a lazy sunday. My son had the 4piece nugget meal with apples and corn, my daughter the cheeseburger happy meal and I had a fish filet. Not more than 20minutes after ingestion I soiled my pants, and while changing my pants i defecated again. I defecated so much my anus now sticks out like a pink sock.
Can i sue Mcdonalds for the pain and suffering, medical bills, etc?

Obviously some people can't spot a bogus report.

@Heidi - Ditto.  While food poisoning, like the common cold, is not one type of bacteria or virus (and it can be bacterial or viral) it's not going to effect you within 20 minutes to the extent the OP said it did.

While most people blame the last food they ate for food poisoning that is rarely the case (and even with a diagnosis you would have a hard time proving the source was the McDonald's food you ate even if it was possible).

@Mr. Rik - Sounds like you might not tollerate oil very well and also may have some mild lactose intolerance.  I would avoid fast food and talk to my doctor if I were you.

Heidi I have to tell you that whenever I eat the mcfish sammich (what the op ate) its just a short amount of time before im hittin the bafroom.  Rarely fails.  Also happens frequently with just about any item from mcdonalds, especially the "milk"shakes.

Healthcare provider response

As a healthcare provider I have to tell you that you don't get food poisoning within 20 minutes.  It takes on average 24 hours for the bacteria that causes food poisoning to reproduce enough to make you sick.  Plus it takes more than 20 minutes for food to navigate the intestines and become the severe diarrhea stated.

A rectal prolapse is a treatable condition and comes most likely from straining to defecate not from the actual defecation.

You need to look at what you ate on Friday evening to Saturday where the food poisoning (if it was food poisoning and not just plain diarrhea due to some other virus/bacteria/allergen that you encountered) came from.

I am sorry you got sick but if you came into my ER you would have been told this same information.

Were you Diagnosed?

You can't possibly file any type of lawsuit without a Medical Diagnosis from a qualified Doctor. Then you need to visit an attorney, but until you have proof you have no legal grounds to sue.
