the mcdonalds in mt horeb sounds like many all over the united states. i was shocked to read all the complaints on your web. i hope corporate mcdonalds is reading these also! our mcdonalds continues to get our orders wrong (one out of every 4 orders we get there are incorrect), the food is often cold, and the worst visit involved the employees saying jokes out loud at the check out about b-jobs on women - which my 12 year old son over heard. When confronted - the manager pointed to another employee when asked who the manager was and then they laughed about it after i walked away.

i refuse to visit this mcdonalds anymore and it is the only fast food restaurant in our town. luckily, culver's will be coming very soon - a very good, midwest fast food restaurant. corporate mcdonlds better get their act together - they used to be americas fast food restaurant, but based on my experience and that of many of your viewers, it is fast losing it's popularity.

Abigail... Mr. Lundegaard's philanthropy is certainly admirable, but how it makes his business immune to crticism I don't understand. If the owner's warm-heartedness gives his employees liscence to provide lousy service, shouldn't consumers be warned? if I am looking for a place to eat, I don't want to go to a place where my order is likely to be loused up, my food substandard, or the environment is offensive, even if the owner provides reduced price day care and free food for children (also, I think that asserting that this man is single-handedly responsible for preventing dozens of deaths by giving out free food is shooting a bit high).

Consumers have a right to share their bad experiences with a business regardless of such external factors. If you or Mr. Lundegaard would like to refute the original allegations, I'm sure you are more than welcome to. Mr. Lundegaard sounds like a great man and a standout among McDonald's owners, but if he wants to continue his philanthropy, he may need to work on the basics of restaurant management.

These comments are unfair to Mt Horeb Mickey D's!

Good morning. I am shocked to see that you can post something here without the whole story. Mt Horeb McDonald's is a pillar of this community.

The restaurant and its owner Jerry Lundegaard provides daycare services in its Playland at a STEEP discount. He does this so that working families have an option. He also augments for needy families on food stamps the state program by supplying free Happy Meals at lunchtime during daycare. Dozens of Mt Horeb children would starve to death were it not for Mr. Lundegaard. He is one of Bush's 1000 Points of Light and has been featured on Oprah, 60 Minutes, and Maury.

I think the poster is one of his jealous competitors more interested in the bottom line than in working families.
