I've lived at the Cove Lane Apartments for about a year now, no problems whatsoever, love the area, love the neighbors. Just recently however I noticed a sticker in the window, on my car, saying that the license plate is expired and the car is to be towed, which is true, the license plate sticker has expired recently and for that reason the car is always there, parked in the same spot since the sticker expired. Why am I being towed away, am I parked on the street illegally, am I in someone else's spot, no I'm not, even though I live in the complex I park in a guest parking spot, it isn't a reserved spot, there's two of us living in a two bedroom apartment and we each have one car, what about others that live in the same complex and have 5 or 6 cars, or two or three cars per person? After all it's their businesses how they manage those cars, I mean the people that actually own them, not the association, which should only be concerned as far as the parking lot goes and the cars in it that it's always clean and safe to park and keep the cars here if need be, my point is that I shouldn't have to feel obligated to keep my car on the street when I have other priorities, and certainly should not be afraid to lose it to some association thugs that bully people around as they please without fear of repercussions, the car hasn't done anything wrong to anyone, it's just sitting there, as far as I know I haven't wronged anyone either, at least I hope not, I have called McGill Management at the number provided on the warning sticker in my car's window and left them a message, as politely as I could be, requesting an explanation for this action on their behalf, so far there has been no response! xx Cove Ln, Glenview, Illinois, 60025

Cove Lane Apartments, Glenview, Illinois. Them?! Who is "them" and who are you, why do you speak on their behalf? Careful now McGill Management, the "immature" complaint files are stacking up, not in your favor I might add. You might need a different perspective soon, one that doesn't involve management of any kind at all, it seems that you are deluded into thinking that you make the law of the land, people that live in these apartments, like myself, where I live, pay mortgage, property taxes, association fees, which by the way is not for you to make policy, the Board Members make policy based on the needs of their community, a community they are part of and elected from, with this specific purpose, to serve their community, not to enforce their own law. McGill Management you do not enforce law or policy, you do not make the law, or the policy, you are being paid to serve the community, if you do not wish to do that anymore, I suggest you quit, as of now you are working against the very purpose you being paid for, by the way it's only a matter of time until people consider this as a crime and start rallying. I will tend to my own business in due time, and when I feel I should, I'm not trying to be stubborn, nor egocentric, my situation doesn't allow me to take care of this "problem" at this very moment, and it doesn't concern you either, I specifically remember saying that in the voicemail I left for you, because you didn't answer the phone, hence the escalation into a "big deal", we wouldn't be having this argument here for everyone else to witness, had you followed up on that voicemail, I consider that common courtesy. I won't stand for bullying and intimidation. This matter could have been addressed in a much better way, then again it can always get worse. This is my final message to whomever you are, or think you are, from now on my reaction depends on your stimuli. Have a nice day! Cove Lane Apartments, Glenview, Illinois.

Easy solution I dont understand WHY you have chosen to make a big deal out of THEM wanting a TAGGED vehicle. Its actually quite simple. THEY ARE NOT STORAGE FOR YOUR NON RUNNING VEHICLE! No tags means its NOT going to move. Dont you get it?? All they want is UPDATED tags! They are NOT asking you for the MOON! They are ONLY asking that YOU update your tags to show that YOU are NOT trying to store your vehicle there. It doesnt matter what ANY other resident has or does with THEIR vehicle. THAT is just YOU be childish and immature. Get your vehicle updated and the problem goes away. YOU have chosen to fight all of this on some unfathomable principle. YOU seem to think that YOU are exempt from the rules and regulations of the place YOU have chosen to live. For all YOU know the other residents that have multiple vehicles ARE paying a STORAGE FEE to keep their non tagged vehicles there. It STILL wouldnt exempt YOU from the conditions of living there. Get the vehicle tagged and you no longer have to worry about it. ANYTHING else is YOU showing your a$$ and nothing more.
