Be Careful when engaging with McGrath Realty -

I wanted to share a terrible experience I had with McGrath Realty - Kevin the owner and his sales person Maureen. They did not due their fiduciary responsibility on a listing. They listed a property on MLS in Westchester as a multi family house.

I placed an offer, it was accepted and they held my deposit of $51K for 5 months. I not only lost the use of the deposit, I spent over $5,000 in preliminary costs for lawyers, surveys, appraisals which divulged that the house was a single family house. The McGrath's incorrect listing cost me thousands that I cannot recoup.

Please just do your homework as McGrath Realty doesn't due their NYS Realty responsibility. The bogus listing cost me $5K, plus time... and they will not resolve my issue.

I made a mistake posting this! The lawyer is to blame - not the realtor. The realtor is the best helping me over and above... the realtor is now helping me resolve with the correct person (the sellers lawyer).

ERRONEOUS REPORT on McGrath Realty - They were great - the blame was on the sellers attorney.

RipOff doesnt remove - even mistakes- I was informed by them to do the following:

File an update and in your title maybe you can put – This Ripoff Report is a mistake, the Attorney Joe Schmoe on the other side of the deal is at fault.

Then in the text area explain that. Ripoff Reports are never removed. No court in the land has ever made Ripoff Report remove a complaint.

Please Remove - as we resolved 

We have agreed to a remedy and the business and I have a mutual agreement.

There was confusion - likely due to covid issues that escalated these issues and they are no longer accurate.

Please remove the post as it is not accurate given the remedy that is in place. We have an amicable agreement and all parties have agreed to move forward.

Thanks for providing a great platform/service to the community.
