We received a collection notice from AFNI in February 2011. They claim we started an MCI phone account in February 2010 in a military housing unit that we moved out of in 2002. The housing was vacated and torn down in 2008.

Despite filing with the Michigan State Attorney General's office, filing a police report for identity theft and providing proof that the housing was not there in 2010, we were then reported to a second collection agency; EOS CCA.

I spoke to MCI directly and they admit there was never any activity on this phone line, ever, and assured me they would rescind the collection. Clearly now that I'm dealing with 2 collection agencies over the same $210, this was never done.

Verizon purchased MCI. I contacted verizon and provided them with the same documentation I sent to MCI and the Attorney Generals Office. Verizon also assured us they would take care of the issue but they have not.
