Complaint Review: MCI

This is the short version as the whole tale is too fantastic and lenghty to get into here.

For no reason one day I was put on what they call random billing. This means they can charge whatever they want for a call. Stupid me does not realize for 6 months at which point I've over-paid over $600. Then the money goes completely unaccounted for. One day they find it. The next day it's gone. The next day it's been sent to my local phone company (Qwest.) So on and so forth. for months!

I try to trun off MCI and it takes them two months. Meanwhile I've been put back on random billing because my account has been sort of closed because now I'm not signed on to a plan. Now they want more money.

For weeks I try to work this out with MCI reps based all over the conrty, with no luck. I slowly begin to realize that they use caller ID to rout your call at MCI. I discovered this because if I used ID blocking they would rout me to a whole other division then if I had not. After working on this for weeks their operators just began hanging up on me. My account became to comfusing I guess.

Then they wanted more money for the extra two months of service. I refused sighting the missing $600. So they moved that to collections and the phone rang 15-25 times a day from collection company's representing MCI. Of course the collections company can't help with my problem because they are not MCI. MCI cant help because I'm no longer a costomer and my account is now in they hands of another billing company who prove to be completly un-helpfull.

I've got recordings of all these phone conversations, yet no one to play them for. Bottom line is I'm F*ck*d and I still owe money. Now my credit is damaged and my options are slim. Unless of course I quit my job to devote all my time to fixing this MCI mess. Guess I'm screwed. If you have MCI change now or watch your bills like a hawk.

Not to say any other phone company's are much better, but believe me brother, these guy's have to be the worst!!!
