On February 2, 2012 i was sentenced to 30 days in MCI Framingham for violating probation. I asked the judge to give me jail time instead of extending my probation. i just wanted everything to go away. If i knew how you were treated and that they would have me rooming with people accused of murder i would have gladly accepted another 6 months of probation. upon entering MCI i was stripped of all my human rights and treated worse than an animal. The correctional officers treated us all the same.....like we killed someone. After having to strip and give a urine 25-30 of us were put in a holding cell until they could find out where we were all being placed. I was detoxing from suboxone and ativan so they brought me to HSU. a hospital unit that is absolutely disgusting.

I stayed there for 2 days before they moved me to Brewster 2. a unit for people with drug problems. The only people that are supposed to be there are people who are sentenced, not awaiting trial. It is so overcrowded that people awaiting trial are mixed in with people that are sentenced. When you are sentenced you are convicted.... basically you are guilty.  by law people awaiting trial are not yet convicted and are still innocent until proven guilty. so putting them in jail with people that are convicted is a problem because if someone that is sentenced hurt someone that is awaiting trial there could be serious repercussions.

I was diagnosed with bi-polar disorder, anxiety, and insomnia when i was 16 i am now 25. i have been on antidepresents for almost 10 years. The judge and my probation officer both told me and my mom that if i took the jail time i would be able to stay on my medication. i had refills left on my prescriptions and i signed release papers so they could contact the pharmacy. it took them 17 days before i was able to get my medication. I couldn't sleep and kept having mini seizures. nobody cared, i was my own advocate. they don't care how long you have been on your medication or if you cant sleep. no one does their job so nothing gets done.

I also have a heart condition called Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy with obstruction. I needed to have emergency open heart surgery in 2008. while i was at MCI my heart started racing and i couldn't breath. I told the CO and he said i was faking i had to beg them to call trauma. finally another CO came and escorted me to the trauma room. she kept telling me to hurry up and that i was walking too slow. when i got to trauma my heart rate was in the hundreds and my oxygen level was 97%. they told me i was fine and told me to "sleep it off." i was so upset that they just dismissed me like a piece of trash. 5 days later they made an appointment for me to have an EKG done. i was getting out in 2 day so i declined it. i mean they didn't give me one the night it happened or the next day so what did it matter if i had one done 5 days later. the medical part of MCI is a joke they treat you like an animal and don't care what happens to you.

i have never seen a cockroach as big as i did at my stay at MCI. one girl found one in the food. they food is absolutely disgusting....i wouldn't even feed it to my dog. The CO's think they are better than all of us yet in reality they are one step away from being in our shoes. they could drink and drive and end up with us. one CO with the last name LIBBY approached me at the 4 corners and searched me. she grabbed my breasts and crotch and when i called her out on it she called me a thief becasue i brought back a maple syrup from the chow hall. she said if i didn't wear my pants so low she wouldn't have had to touch my crotch. i went back to my unit crying and so humiliated. 10 mins later another inmate came back and said that this same CO pulled her into another room and searched her and pulled the same stunt that she did with me. when i told the CO on my unit she told me i was nuts and that i must have misinterpreted it the wrong way. this jail needs to be condemned. it is absolutely disgusting and the staff treats you like an animal. i will never get in trouble again for fear of being placed in this h*ll hole.

Most of us are law abiding citizens and will never see the inside of one. I recommend it to you, it's not really all that hard.

I'm sure you were treated like crap, it's not supposed to be much fun.

You probably won't get much pity

Jail is not a place you are supposed to want to be.  So let's see here...you are now "out" and never want to go back.  Yep, seems like it served it's purpose.

Hopefully you have taken care of what ever issues you had and can move on with your life....Good Luck.
