MCI Long Distance is slamming service with out phone customers knowledge:

My grandfather will be 80 this month. He has had his phone service for over twenty yrs. He recently had crooked renters move into his home with him, they called MCI and had MCI started on his phone and had them send them three phone cards, all with out his knowledge.

MCI never once talked to him and his is the only name on the phone service. When all of this was discovered, I called to get the service discontinued and they told me they could not take it off with out talking to him personal.

That seems like a real discrepancy! I explained what had happened to him, he told them to discontinue this service that he never ordered it. These crooks have charged up hundreds of dollars in long distance charges and MCI is insisting they will hold him responsible even though we have filed charges through the police department against the people that made the charges.

One employee of MCI even said "if he could not protect his phone, then he does not deserve to have one." They could have prevented this abuse of the elderly if they had just checked with the person whose name was on the phone from the start. It will be a cold day in helll before we pay this bill.
