MCI phone services billed incorrectly to a disconnected phone numberin my name

I switched my long-distance phone carrier from AT&T to MCI services. I gave MCI permission and my phone number and they billed me accordingly,but they also started billing me for my OLD phone number, also. The OLD phone number was disconnected at that time so I was just charged a monthly fee to have the account with that long-distance program.

When I finally realized that the second bill each month was for a different account and phone number I contacted MCI's customer service and they told me I had to write a letter explaining everything (AGAIN!). I went ahead and wrote them a detailed letter with all hte information I had and even included a billing statement. I gave them my phone number and other personal information and told them to contact me if they needed any further information. They finally stopped billing me for the old number, but I had paid on the bogus account for 7 months at $6.11 /month. It may not be alot of money but it is the whole point that they don't care about their customers. Needless to say they have lost my business forever.
