In December MCI called me to tell me about their fantastic new rates and how I would recieve 1 month free long distance if I switched to them. I have 2 lines in my home, my private residence and a home office phone (I am a sales rep and work out of a home office), I agreed to switch them both. My long distance was to be billed via my local carrier, Verizon.

In late January I picked up my office phone one morning to make a call only to find out I had no long distance service. I called MCI and they were at a loss to tell me why, they suggested I call Verizon. I called Verizon they couldn't understand why I had no service and told me to call back to MCI, which I did. I was transferred 3 times, and finally I was told my service was cancelled at my request, of course that wasn't true but that didn't seem to matter to MCI--they said it would take 3 days to have my long distance service restored. I told them to forget it and called Sprint.

I recieved my January and February phone bills with long distance calls billed by MCI, I paid them. Than suddenly I begin to recieve bills from MCI with more long distance calls. So I called MCI and again was transferred around several times, hung up on twice--finally I just became so frustrated I couldn't deal with them anymore.

Last week I recieved another bill from MCI and now a "Pre-Agency" notice that they are going to send me for collections. So once again last Thursday I attempt to call MCI --again transfered 3 times, than hung up on--called back transferred again and was now told that I was disconnected for "high toll"--so I ask how do you explain that--you never told me I had a limit, my bill has been paid on time--why would you just have disconnected me? The agent told me she had no idea, that's all she could tell me. So I asked her about the duplicate billing and she said she would have to transfer me, which she did--(about 50 minutes has now transpired out of my work day), the next agent answered, I explained to her about the bills, she asked me to hold, and bam! Cut me off. I just can't deal with this company anymore--please do not use MCI services unless you are a glutton for punishment and wasted time.
