MCI WORLDCOM WIRELESS AND I STILL HAVE NO SERVICE

My wife recieved a offer in the mail for a cell phone. 1000 anytime minutes and 250 weekend minutes for $30 per month . Any minutes after the agreed plan would cost .40 cents per minute. At the time the phone was ordered insurance was requested after having the phone for two weeks the phone was stolen. After reporting it stolen I asked about a replacement, to which I learn that I have no insurance. They asked me why didn't I bring this to their attention before this? To which i responded, I haven't received a bill to know it was never put on the account. but the best they could do is offer me a 20% discount on a new phone, if I bought it through them of course. Well I couldn't buy it right away it took me a couple of month to get the money together AGAIN. So I call the order the new one and had to pay for 2nd day air. The phone arrived in 5 days. Upon arrival I immedatly tried to connect the service, but found that it was programed with the same number as the stolen phone. After waiting on hold for 2 hours and getting disconected (beacuse of call volume, yeah right.)I finally got through and had a very difficult time persuading them to give me a new number. But it finally happend, the operator walked me through the steps to program a new number in the phone and I am to wait for them to activate the new number. It has been 2 weeks. I call every day
most times I don't even get through. I still have no service yet
and mind you because of the contract i still pay $30.00 per month regaurdless of the service or should I say lack of it.
should I ever get a solution to the problem I will certainly update this letter.

WELL LETS SEE,
TODAY IS MARCH THE 7TH AND MY SERVICE IS FINALLY ON NOW.
NOW I CAN START TO TAKE MY ASPRIN FOR THE MASSIVE HEADACHE THAT I HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH.
I SINCERLY HOPE THAT THE REST OF YOU GET SOME TYPE OF SATISFACTION. GOOD LUCK. :)

Monday 2/25/02
I again called customer service at world com wireless to get my service on. This time I recieved apologies and a promise that my service will be on in 2 to 8 hours. It was not.

Tuesday 2/26/02
I called and was told that my service will be connected in 2 to 6 hours. It was not. In fact, I called my cell phone number assigned to me on tuesday evening and reached the voice mail of someone else.

Wednesday 2/27/02
I called to report that not only is my phone not on but the number is gettitng someone else. Once again they apolgized and told me that it will be corrected and my service will be on in 2 to 24 hours. and this time the customer service person said that she has made notations and will call my cell number in 24 hours to follow up. If she doesn't reach me she will call my home phone and continue to work on the problem. When I voiced my concerns about a credit to my account she offered to credit $20.00 to my account. I hope that everything she promised she holds to be true. I'll definitely let you know.
