Being a new (unfortunately) customer with Worldcom Wireless I received my first bill and was surprised to find that my $24.99 plan cost me $57. I was charge an extra $27 for so-called Landline Usage. Never heard of it? Well, neither did anyone else I spoke to. Apparently if your phone cannot get a cell then it goes to a landline (which is owned by your local telephone company). This connection is charged to the cellular phone company and what I can gather; all other cellular phone companies eat this cost, EXCEPT Worldcom Wireless. They then charge us, their customers. I was told by the most amazingly unprofessional Worldcom representative that this is a random charge and that it can surpass $100 a month!! I am being charged for something that I was never told about!! When I contacted the Worldcom Wireless people where I bought the plan from, they had no idea this was going on and were as confused as I was. If you are being overcharged for your cell phone, Please complain and contact your State Attorney General!! I'm going to have to fight this one and it won't be easy as they are amazingly ignorant of what they are telling me!!
