MCi WorldCom Wireless "Service" -AVOID THIS COMPANY!
In March of 2000 my daughter signed up for "service" with this company. She was told that there would be no activation fee. We received bills and paid them in a timely manner. In August we suddenly received a bill which included a $25 activation fee. I phoned (HOURS of being placed on hold), I faxed (HOURS of the line being busy), but finally reached customer "service".
I provided the info they requested. NO RESPONSE, other than more bills which included the activation fee. Told them I would be more than willing to pay the bill in full once they reversed and credited the account for the activation fee. NO RESPONSE, other than MORE bills, which included the activation fee.
In October they suspended "service". In early November, I finally received a statement which reflected the $25 credit and, holding true to my word, I paid the bill in full.
Just today, December 3, we received a Notice of Suspension of Service and Delinquency Notice. THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST CELLULAR PHONE SERVICE PROVIDER I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. HORRENDOUS account recordkeeping and NONEXISTENT Customer "Service".
March 13, 2002---and the end of this contract---cannot come quick enough. Do yourself a favor. AVOID WORLDCOM WIRELESS AT ALL COSTS!

I have just reviewed my daughter's WorldCom Wireless service contract once again, and have noted, for the first time, that there is NO checkmark in either box---neither 1 nor 2 years---under the "minimum term of contract" section.
Would someone out there who is familiar with such things please advise if this means that she can terminate the "service" effective immediately?
My e-mail addy is kfox1101@aol.com. Thank you.
