I signed up with mci worldcom about 6 months ago, and have had nothing but problems with them. 2+hours wait time EVERY time you call, etc. On Janruary 1, 2002, I paid them a payment via debit card in the amount of $124.67, which was the whole of the account at that time. I also changed my plan to one with more minutes. To date I still have not been credited the $124.67, which CLEARED my account on 1/4. Also my account was never changed to the one with more minutes, and I was told that I had no long distance in the plan, which is WHAT I HAD BOUGHT. They told me the person who I had talked to on the phone was misinformed. I have spent over 6 hours on the phone with these people to no avail.

The money was taken out of my account, and they refuse to acknowledge it. I faxed in the bank records, and they still will not post the payment. I told them I wanted to cancel my account. They told me that there would be a $200 fee to cancel the account early. I told them that the service had been mis-represented to me, and that I had not been told of an early cancellation fee when I bought the service.

I have since gotten a new plan with Cingular, and have had no problems. I have sent letters to the California Public Utilities Commision, and the BBB, but have recieved no response as of yet.

I want to cancel this plan, and have my payments credited. I wish I had researched this company before I had signed up, as they have an incredibly poor record, and there are millions of horror stories on the internet and news about them, including two segments on 7 on your side, in NY city.
