Complaint Review: McKenzie Contracting Services

Provided services for the owner of this company Oliver "Dan” Fernandez Sr. for several years. Went the extra mile to meet him late all over town for delivery and he would stand us up half the time. He was always behind on his payments and we were patient and worked with him for several years. He would come in and pay about 10 percent of what he owed and then ring up another 200 %, He was constantly complaining it was all he could do, that he was struggling... it didn’t take long to realize he wasn’t struggling at all. He had purchased a bunch of new trucks, hired a bunch of employees and was recognized in the business journal for his success as a minority contractor(laughable)

We cut him off at this point and told him we would need for him to catch his account up before we could extend anymore credit to him. Afterwards, he said he basically wasn’t going to pay anything now. He proceeded to tell us, he wasn’t responsible for any of these bills. Even thought he is the one that signed the credit application as the owner and responsible party. He said his son was the owner and we need to chase him for the payments. He refused to give us any contact info and never returned any of our phones calls. He greats you with a handshake and a "god bless” his ruthless actions are far from being a Christian businessman. We always wondered why he changed his company name slightly every two years... he is a scammer and fly by night contractor.
