Frank and Robin McLaughlin sign contracts and apparently have no intention of honoring them.

We purchased a house from Frank McLaughlin where he had lofts for his racing pigeons. Our contract specifically stated what was do be done to clean these lofts. He did not clean them, but rather pushed the feces to another area of the property and covered it with branches.

We obtained bids of $43,000 and $67,000 to have the filth cleaned that Frank and Robin left on the property. This amount should let you know the deplorable condition Frank had his pigeons in. These are possibly the same pigeons he is trying to sell at the Sun City Million Dollar Pigeon Race.

In addition to not honoring our contract in Oregon, Frank and Robin sold two Snap Fitness centers. I talked to the owners and they told me Frank and Robin tried to cheat them also. They ended up settling out of court due to attorneys costs. Robin claims to be the founder of Snap Fitness on a website. Robin claims to be the founder of Snap Fitness.

They also claim to be real estate investors. Their last house at 14810 SW 141st Ave, Tigard Oregon was foreclosed on August 2010. I believe they live with Frank's parents.

Anyone involved with a pigeon transaction with Frank McLaughlin needs to be extremely wary. His guarantees are meaningless. We have had a couple pigeons try and peck their way into the old lofts. We can only assume these were some of his. He had hundreds of birds crowded into a very small barn.

I will attempt to add pictures of the conditions left by Frank. I will be happy to mail additional pictures to you also either by email or regular mail.

Frank Robin McLaughlin McLofts lawsuit

#2Author of original report

Well after nearly 3 and a half years we finally got to court.

I filed a small claims for $7500. thinking Frank McLaughlin, Robin McLaughlin, McLofts would not be able to come up with the $37,839. (Dow Columbia) or the $38,798. (Belfor) cleaning fees for these professional clean-up companies.   This seemed like a reasonable compromise, considering with interest and other fees it will be close to $13,000.

So I WON the case.  Frank's counterclaim for libel and slander,( the report here on Rip-Off.com,) was denied.

I am attaching the Judgment, pictures of the conditions the barn was left. All but the half doors were taken back in 2007 when we took possession of the home.  The half doors were taken last month when we had the pigeon extensions removed and found all this additional dung under the boards.  I am also attaching copies of the bids from Belfor and Dow Columbia gave us back in 2008.
As I said before the amount these companies required to clean should in themselves indicate the deplorable conditions the McLaughlins left their pigeon loft.  These bids were the lowest.

Initially I put this on Rip-Off hoping Frank McLaughlin or Robin McLaughlin would attempt to get a hold of us to settle the issue since they were not answering our letters or our attorney's letters. This didn't happen.  It was not until they received the small claim suit that they even mentioned this report had compromised their business.

We started in November of 2007 trying to settle with Frank and Robin to have our contract taken care of.  I tried to avoid going to court by mitigating numerous ways to no avail.  Although we have settled for way less than the cost to clean-up the mess the McLaughlins left, Frank seemed to indicate after the issuance of the judgment he intended to try and sue me again for libel and/or slander.

The truth is not libel or slander.  The judge based his opinion on the words in the contract and the pictures of the unclean barn.  Anyone reading this report will be able to see the conditions and also the actual estimates.  There was nothing in any of my statements that was not true.
