I completed a trade in 11/19/07, I brought in a 03 Lexus is300 and purchased an 03 Audi a4. After the bank calling me reqesting my payments for the Lexus, my calls were non stop to MCLS. Everytime I called I was put on hold untill I could wait no longer. I spoke to Amanda in "payoffs" once, from then on she would shoot me to her voice mail. The Lexus was later sold at MCLS while I am still making payments on it...actually my next payment is tomorrow.

The long and short of this is we were scammed. In my case, they took my car on trade, never paid for it, took payment for the new car, let the Lexus sit on their lot of free (while I pay for it), took a lean out for the value of the Lexus (since it is collateral), then later sold it to someone who will probebly never recieve a title. Basically it is an ingenious way to rob people. They basically made three times the profit on the same car.

Now, after speaking to a Business Lawyer, he declined my case because they are in bankruptcy court. He says he cannot do anything, and neither can I. He suggested that I take a drive there and see what I can do. So I did, and I took the title to my Lexus with me (if they are bankrupt I will never recieve payment for it or get it back).

When I arrived, there were two semi's about to load cars on. I walked around looking for my car, couldnt find it and found my way inside. There were a couple of repo guys, and a face I'll never forget. He worked for MCLS, he had his own office with the blue Lambo countach poster, and a red Ferrari F40. Taller guy, big noes, and blue eyes. I had a hard time talking to this guy because he was still so arrogant. When I walked up he was hanging up the phone saying goodbye to "Lester", ha.

After giving him the run around, I told him what I needed to, he made some calls and said that if I left a voice mail on their phone that I will get a call back and a payoff. I had a hard time not reconfiguring his face, I really did, but my patience kicked in.

*Here is the interesting part: I told him that they are bankrupt, how will they pay? He replied "we are not really bankrupt, just closed down" Basically insulted why I said bankrupt. My theory is they made their money by scamming people, pocketed it, then filled for bankruptcy on paper and are now having the insurance company and bonds they have take care of their mess. He did not care at all, he even said, if you want to sue, go ahead. well sure he would say that, it is not coming out of his own pocket, it will be paid out from the bond, they are an LLC.

I filed with the BBB, and the Attorney General with no response. I filed a month ago, when they were still in "business". I am frustrated, depressed, and angered by the nerve these people have. Take care and be safe.

I traded in two cars for one at MCLS Autos in Bridgeview on 03/27/07 - since the loan to value was high they made me purchase SAFE-GAP total loss protection plan for $695.00. The finance manager informed me that it's the only way for me to get a loan. So, I purchased it... and now on 03/13/09 my vehicle was stolen and has not been recovered. I still have a loan on this car with Wells Fargo Auto Finance, my insurance company paid out a chunk to the loan company since it is a total loss. Once the claim with my insurance company was completed, I filed a claim with Safe-Gap, I sent in all the needed info including front and back copies of the GAP contract. About 10 business days have passed, I called Safe-Gap for an update on the claim and was informed that the claim is denied becuase the dealer never sent in a payment for this plan nor a copy of the contract. It's weird that Wells Fargo Auto Finance knew that I have GAP coverege and they sent them info about the loan, but GAP had no record of me ever having it. Which means that MCLS charged me for this service - protection plan and kept the money for themselves. They never sent payment and screwed me over. Now I have a balance on my loan, don't have the car and need to make payments. This is horrible.... I also read so many testimonials from people about how they screwd them over. One of the owners of MCLS was Lester Bafia, he interviewed with a magazine called EXPRESS where he provided his phone #, so I am providing it: Lester Bafia 708/906-3594 he mentioned that every one of his clients will be satisfied and will resolve every issue. Well, I called him many times, left messeges, but so far have not heard from him. Tha GAP company told me that I have to go after the dealership, and that the balance on the loan is their responsibility since they are the ones that charged me for GAP, never sent in the payment and now I can't even use the service. I can't even find them anymore, I have no idea where to look or what to do. The balance on the loan is about $9,000 and I can't afford to pay this for nothing, and I don't even have that car. Also, I was informed that if they filed bankruptcy then I can do something about this, but if they didn't then I can't go after the dealership, since they just packed up, locked up their doors and left. If anyone knows anything please, please let me know. Something must be done about this, and someone must have some kind of information about them. MCLS and the owners must pay for all this damage that they have caused people. It's just not right. If anyone knows anything please let me know. I contacted attorney general office, but no response. Thank you.
