Mebans Only thing that seemed off was their method of payment by ordering a Playstation gift card through Amazon Internet
I was looking online around Black Friday for places that sell the giant stuffed unicorn my daugter wants for Christmas. Mebans came up in Google with a price for $50. It was normally priced $75-$99. So I thought, hey, black Friday deals! No big difference there. I added it to a cart and checked out, but their was no payment option. Then when I finished the checkout, it took me to a screen with instructions on how to buy the gift card, video and all. It included a video on why to pay this way. I thought it seemed very fishy at first, so I googled it.
Didn't find anything except for testimonials on youtube. TONS. Only watched a few. Still wasn't convinced. Then, I found a place that had left reviews for their website. The reviews seemed legit with actual complaints about how slow the shipping was and how slow customer service was to respond. I thought, well, maybe it is legit. So I bought the gift card on Amazon, redeemed the code on their website. I got a confirmation email. I even got an email saying that it shipped and to expect delivery by December 5 or 6.
Today is Decemeber 7. No unicorn. I go to check my account. Website doesn't even exist anymore. I feel so stupid and ticked. I really should have gone with my gut. And I hope I can somehow get that money back. They were very thorough. But it still felt off. Always go with your gut on these things! Don't let your desperation for cheap fool you. Now I will most likely be out even more money.
