Purchased a used Toyota Camery and got breakdown warranty from MBPI(mechanical breakdown protection inc). Still had temp tags when a rod went THROUGH the block.
MBPI info reads that all internal lubricated parts covered as well as parts damaged as a result of failure of listed parts.

Push rod failure was covered,BUT they will only base repair cost on the blue book AFTER it blew.
So insted of the 2400 dollar blue book value of the car at time of purchase of protection, they only cover based on 300 dollar totaled value. This equals 500 dollars towards the 2000 dollar cost of repair insted of 1500 dollars they would have covered if they didn't consider it totaled.
