MedEx MedEx Med X Roshan Adhikari Providing Substandard healthcare services and violating MCT Rules
I feel compelled to share my experience with the CEO Roshan Adhikari and MedEx Ventures Co., Ltd. to alert others about the violations of patient rights and substandard care that I encountered. It is essential for individuals to be aware of these issues in order to make informed decisions about their healthcare.
My interaction with MedEx Ventures Co., Ltd. left me deeply disappointed and concerned about their practices. Firstly, there were significant breaches of patient privacy. Confidential information was shared without my consent, which is a clear violation of ethical and legal standards. This disregard for patient privacy raises serious questions about their commitment to maintaining the confidentiality and trust that should exist between healthcare providers and patients.
Additionally, I experienced great difficulty in communicating with my doctor through MedEx Ventures Co., Ltd. There was a clear lack of transparency and accessibility, with obstacles preventing effective doctor-patient communication. This hindered my ability to discuss and understand my treatment options, ask questions, and address concerns about my health. It is disheartening to see a company prioritize profit over patient well-being by impeding crucial communication channels. I repeatedly requested the opportunity to communicate with the doctor, but I was informed that it is company policy to prohibit direct communication with doctors. This policy directly contradicts the information presented on their website, which claims to prioritize open communication between patients and healthcare providers.
Moreover, I made a specific request to discuss the recommended tests with the doctor before proceeding, seeking to ensure clarity and a shared understanding of their purpose and significance. However, I was informed that the company's protocol is to conduct the tests first, complete all procedures, and only then allow a conversation with the doctor. This approach not only disregards my right to participate in decisions about my own healthcare but also raises concerns about the necessity and appropriateness of the tests being ordered. Such a unilateral process undermines patient autonomy and fails to prioritize informed consent and collaborative decision-making.
It is essential for healthcare providers to prioritize patient care and respect patient rights. Unfortunately, MedEx Ventures Co., Ltd. failed to meet these basic expectations. I believe it is crucial for individuals to be aware of these concerns and to exercise caution when considering their services.
In light of my experience, I have filed formal complaints with the appropriate authorities, including the Medical Council of Thailand, Provincial Health Office, Thai Medical Council Support Center, and Hospital Complaints Department. It is important to hold healthcare professionals accountable for their actions and advocate for the well-being of patients who may encounter similar challenges.
I hope that by sharing my experience, others can be informed and empowered to make choices that prioritize their rights and well-being as patients.
