On my initial contact with this firm, I spoke with a representative who confirmed that my bill would be as stated on the flyer I ordered from, that is, $9.95/month for digital cable, $24.95/month for internet service, and $29.95/month for phone service. In addition, the flyer stated that standard installation would be $9.95. When the installer came, he charged $95.98 for the install, which I paid by check without complaint, as I was not too concerned with a one-time charge. That evening, (1/16/07), my sister and I noticed that we did not get the premium channels listed in the offer, and so called the company's help line to ask why. I was informed that the charges would be something like $95.00/month, and the operator I spoke with also disputed that any such offer as I had ordered even existed. The next day, I was telephoned by a different operator, who stated that I would have to pay an additional $50.00/month for "Family cable", which was not listed on the flyer and was not quoted to me in the initial contact. When I stated that this was not what I had signed up for, I was put on hold,which never ended until I hung up, which led me to complaining to the BBB and here.
