Complaint Review: Medical Equipment Classified - m.e.c. - Raul Alvarez

I ordered doctors exam room equipment from this company called medical equipment classified (m.e.c)in huntington beach, california. I was doing business with the owner by the name of Raul Alvarez on the internet, and he e-mailed me all of the pictures of the doctors exam room equipment.

I told him that I wanted to buy it and he said that I would need to send him a deposit of $3,000 dollars to hold the order. Once he received the deposit he would e-mail me a invoice with everything that I would be getting. I kept calling him when he received my deposit
to ask him to invoice me, but he kept ignoring my calls.

I called the bank to cancel my check but it was a day late. I have also been e-mailing him numerous times to tell him to return my deposit. He finally had someone from his office e mail me back saying that they are sending me a refund. I let a week go by and called them again and left messages that I still have not received my refund.

Again no one has returned my calls or e-mails. This all started in February of 2005 and it is now May of 2005. I have an attorney and we have filled the papers to sue Mr.Alvarez and his company medical equipment classified. I want people out there to know that this man is a thief, con and to never do business with this company.

I will also be calling and e-mailing every optical, optometrist and opthalmologist in California to let them know about this matter and to not do business with him at all. Hopefully I can help someone not go through the stress and aggravation that I am dealing with.
