Around April of 2009 I went to the Medical institute for Cosmetic surgery for several consultations for cosmetic surgery.  They told me I could have a face lift and i paid in full.  On the day of surgery, i went in and was canceled.  I had an 'ok' of surgery from my Dr. but they did not look at it, just canceled me.  On the day they canceled me they promised me a full refund within 30 days.

I called in 30 days because i received nothing and they said they needed two more weeks. I called at the end of two weeks because i did not get my refund, they said they need 10 more days. At the end of ten days i turned them into Miami Dade county consumer services dept. for mediation.  They admitted to my investigative analyst that they owe me the money.  The Medical institute needed a certified letter stating that I demand a refund and they'll send me my money.  They received the letter, signed for it, and said my money will be there in 15 days. I have received nothing.

I turned to the local news and they did my story on the evening news and found out that this clinic has done this to others. I have also turned them into the Attorney Generals, Board of Health, the BBB and am staging a protest outside their clinic soon.  The Better Business Bural was no help stating that companies do not have to answer letters from the BBB. The medical clinic did not respond. The local news report is on www.justnews.com under 'beauty clinic draws ugly complaints'

They had two surgeons on their website that had no affliation with them. The news story exposed them on that and the Dr.'s have  now been removed on Oct. 20th. The Dr.'s have not been at this clinic since I started consutations in April but remaind on the website til Oct.  I have spoken to one of the Dr's and he said he quit them because they were 'pulling scams' like this on several clients.

I could take them to small claims court but if they are admitting to everyone they owe me they money but they are not paying me, what makes me think they will pay me because i have a stupid piece of paper saying they have to pay me.

I will be taking them to court and suing for my full $2500. refund plus interest from June 22,09 and for my unnecessary blood work that i had done.
