My mom is 75 years old. She had medications to reorder from the pharmacy, and when she went to pay for them, she was told she wasn't covered by Humana, which is her senior supplemtnal insurance company, used to supplement the Medicare plan.

When she got home, she made a few phone calls, and discovered that Medicare had notified Humana, and told them she wasn't signed and enrolled in Humana, but that she was enrolled in Advantra. Having made payments to Humanna since 2005, she knew this wasn't true.

She called medicare, who said they'd investigate it, but it might take 45 days, in the meantime, she couldn't use either insurance, and they told her, moore or less, "Don't get sick or hurt." She called Advantra, who said they'd have to check on it. Humana said the same. After several phone calls, the first being to the Diviision of Aging in Missouri, I had found someone who could help her. They corrected the problem, but says it will take atleast a month to get it right, and to be careful, and to not have to use the insurance until it is straightened out.

This is not acceptable procedure, and I believe it should have been "straightened out" at the first phone call.
