Meditec.com Ripoff Very poor service and product Layton Utah
I completed the medical transcription course through this company in January 2005. The instruction, support and feedback I have received fromt his company is extremely poor. They do not have a standarized grading format for their final exam.
The biggest issue with them is that they do not teach the standards of medical transcription according to the American Association of Medical Transcriptionists, they teach their own style. The AAMT is the standard by with all companies operate and by not teaching us that, they leave is at an extreme disadvantage when it comes to looking for work.

I am here to agree with what was written. I too paid out my hard earned money to Meditec, but unfortunately didn't investigate the school prior to enrolling. I have been extremely disappointed. The inaccuracies are innumerable. The course work is poor.
The training is poor. The feedback is poor. It is very true that you get what you pay for and I would NEVER recommend this school to anyone else. They hadn't heard the complaints because the students were probably so very upset that they didn't think it would be worth complaining over and they wouldn't hear them anyway.
They would just continue taking people's money. I think the trainer(s) need to be retrained, and the owner should stop being so greedy and check into the service he is selling. He is giving himself a very bad name and reputation.

Wow, our first Internet complaint in 11 years!!
Fact: Meditec has been training in the field since 1969, and on-line and on the Internet since 1994, without a single complaint. Several thousand students have gone through our training and are working successfully.
Fact: We pride ourselves on the availability of instructors and counselors.
Fact: The founder (and writer of the course material)of the company was certified by AAMT and was Chairman of two state chapters of the same organization, and had much of the initial input with AAMT into what constitutes good training. The course prepares very well for testing at any company.
Fact: Follow-on counseling for successful job search is provided, and most people take advantage of it.
Not much else we can do. Maybe when she is working (based on her training from us) she will come back and post the truth.
