Complaint Review:
MedSave Urgent Care
My wife and I visited this clinic in city of Worthington (main office is in Canal Winchester) on 2/24/12.
My wifes visit was paid as credit card while mine was used
as insurance card. Next day, receptionist talked to me and apologized about
charging my visit on my credit card since I was using my insurance card. I was
told that the refund would be taken care by her owner, Sheereen.
Since then the receptionist and I had been talking on the
phone. Every time when I talked to her, she said either her boss was not around
or no chance to talk to her. Finally on 3/22, I was told that Sheereen wanted
to see the money from insurance company first before refunding me the credit,
which is a very unethical practice because she should not hold my credit card
payment at the first place once I gave her the insurance card, she was supposed
to refund me immediately on 2/25/12 after finding this mistake. I expressed my
frustration to the receptionist and said that I would file a complaint with
Ohio medical board and finally she said owner would send out the check on 3/26.
I had not received the check and when I called and talked to Sheereen on 4/3, she
admitted that she did not send me the refund although she got paid by my
insurance card. She said she was waiting for explanation of benefit. When I
checked with my insurance company about this, they agreed with me about my
complaint and also documented a complaint against MedSave Urgent Care. As of
today, Sheereen has not refund the credit back to me and I had filed a case
against her and her clinic at Ohio Medical Board and Columbus BBB since that
was what I told them on 3/26.
