Mega Bloks Halo Wars Series Poor Quality Frustrating Expierence for Kids Internet
We purchased 8 Halo Wars sets for our boys, 8 & 10 for Christmas. They are big into building Legos and are Halo fanatics as well. Perfect gift... right? WRONG, WRONG, WRONG !!
These sets are marketed to be equivalent to the Lego brand. The packaging also looks similar. The retail prices are equivalent (expensive). These sets are a rip-off because the quality of the fit of pieces is HORRIBLE.
The boys struggled for several hours trying to complete one of the simpler sets (70 pieces) which I was surprised at by the way they typically burn through Lego sets. They complained the pieces wouldn't stay together. They complete one part and try to connect it to the next and pieces would pop off.
We did complete one of the sets but you cannot play with it because at the slightest touch pieces will fall or pop off. How could a company market these sets as toys for kids to build and then play with.
I tried to help them and experienced the same frustration. I looked at the MegaBlok website and don't see anyway to report this poor quality for what I believe would be a popular and widespread model theme - Halo.
There will be no more Mega Blok products in my future and hopefully not in yours
