Anthony Hamilton, owner of The Mega Fur Home, Accepted our $945 for the purchase of Meli, a supposed 11-week-old Basenji puppy. Then Anthony went silent after we were surprised by a $1500 deposit required for an NP95 thermal controlled kennel for the transport of said puppy to where we live in Tucson, AZ. This was all supposed to begin with the pick-up of the puppy from his supposed location in Chico, California.

Anthony claims to be struggling with ailing health in an attempt to explain away his absence from responding to my text, email, and voice communications. Most of which were requesting his assistance.

AireaPet/ Cruise Pet is the culprit trying to charge us $1500 for the specialty travel kennel. I will be filing a separate report on them, although I believe that AireaPets/Cruise Pets and The Mega Fur Home are the same people and that this is a scam with a double-hit money grab. The cost of the puppy and the cost of the specialty kennel. I don't believe that either truly exists.

Beyond the stolen money, this is a cruel scam as it pulls hard on people's emotions. Who doesn't fall in love with puppies? There should be emotional duress fines awarded as well. My wife was devastated after we prepared for a week to receive our new family member. It's heartbreaking.
