Mega Life And Health Insurance A total life destroying RIP OFF North Richland Hills Texas
I went into my own bussiness over four years ago to try and make the american dream and to help employ others. I needed health insurance so I contacted N.A.S.E. They were part of mega life health insurance co. So I called and a sales person came out his name is Mr Jeremy Stern who by the way is still employed by mega life. I told him that I needed major medical insurance and prescription coverage. He said no problem so when filling out the application I told him of some medical problems I have had in the past. He told me not to include them on the application cause that will cause a "Red Flag" and I won't be able to get insurance.
So the policy we agreed on was I wanted Major medical with a one time deductable of $3,000.00 per year and prescription card.
Later on i had some heart issues and thats when I found out that what he said i paid for was a bunch od CRAP. So now i have been fighting with mega life to pay the bills but they said no your policy does not cover this and that.
To make a long story Short I owe over $23,000.00 dollars in unpaided medical bills. So I have 2 choices close my bussiness or file for bankrucy. Had I known what the REAL DEAL was i would have not purches the policy, so along with the rest of you I AM SCREWED. No other insurance company will touch me for a resonable amount. So I may have to sell my dream and get a job working for a large co. so that I can get insurance.
At age 53 I don't understand how this company can remain RIPPING of people and DESTROYING there lives. STAY AWAY FROM THEM THEY ARE NO GOOD. if anyone out there has had dealing with the sales person in this letter and he did the same things please let me know. Is there still the american dream out there? or have companies like MEGA LIFE still be there to tear the small bussines man down.

you think I should go after the company and not the Man? Interesting thought. Maybe you are one of the salespersons. Until you know my full story don't judge me. He is scum and the company is also. Just search and you will find many many judgements againt BOTH the MAN and the company.

First of all, I don't work for mega life and health or Healthmarkets, but I am recently laid off in the health insurance industry and researching a company to apply too for employment in a industry I enjoy.
One thing I noticed about the original comment about the insurance is that you lied on your application and this becomes a part of the insurance contract when issued. If you, or the agent, omit items on the application then you have falsely entered into a contract and if the shoe was on the other foot I think you would be refusing to pay. Like if the company asked for back premiums because of a clerical error, you would tell them tough luck I am sure. I have been reading all the complaints on here and seems like a lot of individuals are not being honest or not reading their coverage, and that really bothers me that so many individuals are not being responsible for their own actions.
Note to the public: Read your polices and do not lie to your agents or the insurance company. I believe I was laid off because of a woman who was not interested in me explaining her policy to her and her understanding it. She lied on her application and was caught by the underwriting process but complained enough to the company to get the insurance issued anyway then complained when she did not have the coverage she thought she did and harassed me, my boss, and the company. I firmly believe that she was a major issue in my layoff form the company and all because of her ignorance and greed.

Bash the company not the man

I think I would stick to comments on the Company instead of attacking one man. From what it sounds like this rep was trying to get you health insurance when you probably could not. Is the insurance company not covering your expenses because they think this is a preexisting condition or did you not understand the "crap" you bought?
I would suggest getting getting a lawyer and taking on the company instead of the little guy out in the field. You might get your expenses covered that way. Just a thought.

Please contact the Insurance Bureau of Virginia and make a complaint and demand action on your behalf. This company has screwed so many people over that it makes one wonder what the government is doing for us citizens. The company will probably burn the agent because thats what they do- blame the agent to protect the home office. What folks dont understand is that the agent is lied to about what the plans do and put out there as a scapegoat when it all hits the fan. If you have been hurt by this company go after the company legally with a competent attorney, not the agent who has been scammed just as bad as you. I left after learning what the do to clients and can honestly say that this company's management is as dirty as can be both to clients and agents. They lie so much it becomes the truth. I hope they lose all their ill earned stock money.
