Megawin Promotional Prices Financial Institution Fraud! Don't be fooled ripoff Halifax Nova Scotia
I've read a few other reports about this particular, so called international lottery program, in my case though, my letter came under a different name(Megawin Promotional Prices) but, like the others mine also came in a plain envelope with a canadian stamp, different names and addresses on the letter head and on the check. My check had the name TCF BANK endorsed on it, when I first received it I was very skeptical and a bit over whelmed, with the idea of having won $45,000 so, I called a couple of people on it, even though the letter clearly stated not to (and now i see why; they dont want you to figure out their scam).
Well thanks to one of my big mouth friends, she called more than a few people, jokingly exclaiming that I was rich, and explaining the letter and check that I had just received, one of the people told her to tell me not to deposit the check in which I had been mailed because it is a scam I needed more evidence so I got online and did some research and I came across this website and very happy that I did, because now I see I wasn't the only target.
DON'T BE FOOLED PEOPLE! If something involving A SUBSTANTIAL amount of money sounds too good to be true follow your instincts because. IT PROBABLY IS

Thank you for posting this, i also received one of these letters and a check but it was from HSBC bank (which is a real bank) and was going to call the number. I may still call the number just to see what they say and post it so that no one will fall for this scam.
