Complaint Review: meineke

First i brought into Meineke my suburban and I was given an extensive evaluation that my vehicle needed major repairs that cost over$1000. I got the repairs and by chance my uncle wanted to look under the hood of my car because he was was contemplating on getting a vehicle just like mine. I told him that I just got some work done. He  stated that  my spark plugs and air filter were very dirty and was not new. I called to let them know that I purchased  sparks plugs and air filter and they didnt install it. Menieke response, oh yeah, we were going to call you to tell you that we forgot to put them in.   I had another vehicle that Menieke gave me an outrageous estimate about everything that was wrong with my car. I couldn't afford to get the work done but after what they did with my suburban I took my car to another mechanic shop that gave me an entirely different diagnostic estimate and told me that I didnt need half of the things they said I needed. What dishonest ripoffs. I question whether they did the other repairs that they said they did!   I took my suburban to get an estimate just to confirm that this business is beyond unethical and guile. And, yes, again they said that I needed a dual valve job  and head gasket that cost $1500 and I went to different mechanic who said that all I needed was lifter. That cost only $600 Buyer beware! This place gives honest mechanics a bad name! .
