When taking car to Meineke to have a fuel filter change performed, was told by Meineke mechanic that there was a small leak in the timing chain cover and told me it could cause an engine fire! Paid Meineke to replace timing chain cover gasket and while taking the engine apart- broke the timing chain tensioner. Instead of replacing the broken part they welded the part which, while still in their posession, broke off part of the weld into the engine when they were test driving the car. The welded metal got caught into the timing chain, broke the Cam Shaft and bent the overhead valves. The engine had to be replaced!

The Meineke Manager told me he would charge me to repair the damage, which would be very expensive or have my car towed away! I elected to have the car towed to St Louis 60miles awayand 8 thousand dollars later had a new engine installed.

Please do not use there guys! They are very disreputable and will not stand behind their work or repair the damage they cause to your car!
