I am a former employee of MEINEKE WESTON-i was terminated for leaving early-i left early because the manager RAY accused me of just sitting around doing nothing and i did not want to put up with him any longer that day-it was RAY's fault cause i told him i need coolant for a vehicle i was working on-he did not get the fluids-without coolant. i cannot run the engine to perform the transmission flush(as a coolant flush was included and drained)-about an hour later he came out again and went on about the same thing that i am useless basically-he informed me if i leave it was automatic termination-i was fired by my own choice basically-and accused of laziness through his wrong doing cause he didn't order the parts-which i told him i needed.

While working for this shop i have seen much wrong doing by the managers-JEFF STARK and RAY GARCIA-to start off why people with expensive cars go to meineke is beyond me-there was a porsche 911 there for a no start problem-the only thing wrong with this car is the owner somehow accidentally kicked/disconnected the clutch/starter switch(located near the clutch)-they told the customer it needed a starter when in fact all they had to do was just reconnect a wire--they may have charged well over $1500 for this job when it should of cost nothing-or even a tip from the customer sayin thanks for not rippin me off for my mistake-

i have seen a bmw 745 for a no power steering and overheating problem at the same time-what happened was the idler pulley crapped out and that destroyed the belt(common on BMW's)-the point-the repair should have cost $150-200---instead-they charged $2000-how?-they told him he needs new control arms,coolant expansion bottle(coolant reservoir),and a power steering reservoir-

i've witnessed a tech break things and hit things on a vehicle when he got angry with the vehicle-whether it was sabotage or what i have seen the same tech break things on a car-and the managers had to call the customer and tell him/her that the car needs this-in other words-the tech broke the car and the customer pays to fix it-and the tech got paid extra cause they charged extra(they give the techs a 13% commision of the value of the ticket)-this is why they tell you it needs all kinds of s h i t it doesn't need-regardless-the managers let it happen and go with it-but the people should be smarter i guess-.

There is 2 cars in this shop that have been there for 3 months!!!!-imagine being without your car for 3 f'n months man!!!!-how they hold these people off is beyond me-but i never worked in the office.

I myself have removed and replaced near new tires on several vehicles-there was some cases i have seen people come in and ask if they need tires cause they don't know i guess-then i see the manager looking at the tires-then i get the job to replace all these tires that are near new--these cases i know are rip off cases-how it works is beyond me-then there is some people who just say i need new tires(for them being dumb you cannot complain)

As an employee i was ripped off from my paycheck by $20--and this was the 1 time i looked in there computers to see what they are paying me--how many other times where there???--there is 2 classifications of employees here-hourly and commsions-the commision guys get 13% of the total ticket value/what they charge the customer-then there is GENERAL SERVICE(which i was and we get paid $9.00 an hour+ commisions-but the commisions we get are so cheesy-$1 a tire, $3 for services(trans,coolant)--some work they do not pay you commsions for such as installing customer tires(people that brought tires just for installation) and tire rotations-yet they charge $12 to install 1 tire and $15 for the rotation-they did not pay us for installing bulbs either-there was many things they could of paid us for but did not.

With all this, if you ever think of shopping at this location-know this-you will be overcharged-and for what-so the owner can drive his 500sl-his wife a 745 and the manager an e320(all on leases of course)-this and fake breasts for his soon to be x wife--while you are being ripped off and overcharged at meineke the manager is on the spending spree of a lifetime from your money he never deserved to receive in the first place-

think about how many people they have ripped off before i started working there and now after-but i hope many people in this area read this and can avoid these scum bags ripping others off--even if the customers have the money to spend anyway.

i am the original author of this report---eveything mentioned was true--there was also another report i made about this company--within the other report i mentioned that one of the managers there tried to sell a guy a alternator on a ford after installing a battery--he told the customer the battery was boiling--my point was that if the customer goes somewhere else(cause he declined the alternator) and they say otherwise--what is the manager going to say--bill told me it was bad--and that makes me look like the j e r k off---in any case--not long after this report i noticed this service manager working at a tire kingdom within my area--hopefully they did not fire him cause of this report--as this was not my intention--in any case--i realize this report may play with the reputation of the couple good employees there--CARL, LOUIE and CHRIS S.--i guess the point to the point--they know this report is out there and they know what was said--it may be POSSIBLE that they have learned a lesson and may try to do things honestly--after i left this shop i worked for a couple other shops which was far worse than this shop in terms of business practices--so the final point--give them a chance--if you decide to do business there talk to JEFF--not ray--jeff is the manger and basically sells the work that the mechanic recommends--so on that note--try to talk to LOUIE-CHRIS-or CARL(talk to carl about general service)--louie and chris are the mechanics and i found these 2 to be capable

final chapter--truly horrible people here

well---my last post i reported before i got my unemployment file---they claimed to the unemployment agency i quit my job which was false---upon reading this file--they are saying that on the day i was fired(they say i voluntarily resigned) i went to the parking lot and started yelling at customers-- --also that it was very busy this day and other employess were working--and they had many tickets(yet they could not submit the paperwork to support there claim--let alone the coolant they said they ordered and it was there for a while and i was just standing there doing nothing)--i seem to remember that place being completely dead that day--and other employees were just hanging in the office watching tv--yet even with this ray came out there to only screw with me about not doing anything?????also that when i went to pick up my final paycheck i started making a scene in the office and i broke a window in the showroom on my way out(kind of funny cause this place has cameras everywhere and yet they do not have a video to submit)and they could not get there money for the damage??-why??--cause it didn't happen ---in the report they are going to hinder my employment oppurtunities by not recommending me for employment----but these are lies--they are trying to hinder my employment oppurtunities cause i wrote this rip off report and i exposed them---the difference is---i wrote the truth---they are telling lies---they will get what is coming to them--or maybe they have it coming giving the fact the 1 manger(jeff) is going through a divorce--but the others will have there time to get theres--this divorce is a premptive action as to what happened-----

i filed an appeal for unemployment---i lost----i am compltely screwed----they also mentioned in there file that it was known i had another job and i was going to quit---truth is---i was looking for another job--and i made it clear as i admit to having a big mouth---and i was mad and had a big mouth for a reason---but my own fault was i let my anger take control---and believe me--these people are bad to make any employee angry with the treatment i received---i explained to the unemployment appeal referee that i was mistreated---there was a sunday for example where ray came into work 15 minutes late--ray is the manager---since he came in late--he came out there yelling at me that i need to hurry up and open the doors cause there was customers waiting--he didn't offer to help--he just went inside and sat on his f'n chair--i talked to jeff the next day about this---after this--ray started to retaliate(i believe) for this---and his treatment got worse--in time jeff didn't care cause i insulted him when i asked him for a raise--this incident was mentioned on the last post--also within this appeal--i also mentioned an incident on sunday where i was eating lunch and he(ray) came out and accused me of just sitting around doing nothing--and i was sent home early--this resulted in an economic loss( a 13% reduction in my check as i lost 5 hours of pay)---i needed my time clock records to help verify my story---in the state of florida you have to request it from the employers--well--i did and they did not send me the documents--so the unemployment referee said i had no proof as to what happened(with all incidents i mentioned here such as the 15 minutes i left early--the next day i came in late cause he called me in)--in other words--they purposly hindered my unemployment case by withholding records----what did they have to hide????----

also realized from the unemployment file was the fact jeff did not keep his word---after the incident on sunday i was sent home early for eating lunch i mentioned i was the only one there on sunday and it was hard for me to get a break---no matter what they minused an hour of my time--he told me instead of taking out an hour he would only take out a half hour(so i may have scored a $4.00 raise from this)--upon review of the last week of time(in the unemployment file--he didn't even take out the half hour--(i was minused the full hour)--in other words--i was not paid for work performed and i was not givin proper breaks for sunday!!!!!!!--his word is not to be trusted!!!!

apparently--telling the unempl,oyment referee as to what happened i am not believable--what truly happened is what i wrote here---we had disagrements--although it is true he told me if i leave i could consider it automatic termination--and therofore it was my choice to be fired--i was also mislead to that choice--and i left that day thinking he is full of crap----only a few days before he is telling me not to listen to him-----he told me not to come in on a sunday--so i did not---when i didn't he called me up and asked me why i wasn't there and can i come in--when i came in he told me i'm not suppose to listen to him--i mean what the f man---one day i should listen to you--the next day i shouldn't????apparently this guy is so big of an a hole it is unbelievable to an unemployment referee--that and the fact they did not send me my time clock records to help prove my story---whether it was a setup---so be it--again--i know i had a big mouth--and towards the end i had a disrespect for those people--and i let it be known---but it was for a reason---if anyone truly read this you will know---point to the point--they expected me to bend over backwards for them---and when they wanted me to bend more--i asked for a raise----this pissed them off---when i made it clear i would eventually leave--they launched a pre emptive strike--fact is--my plans did not work the way i wanted them to---i must ask--after reading this entire report---would anyone want to work for people like this??--knowing they will lie to unemployment to not pay---they will give you a bad employment reference based on lies and hinder your job effort after they fire you----they expect you to slave for 9.00 an hour---they will treat you like crap when it is not busy(they take there anger out on you cause you are paid by the hour and the managers are commision--hence--"your an hourly worker do something"--especially when there is nothing to do--would anyone like to be treated like this??--especially if you are singled out???----

with all this-to the consumers in this area---you have a choice--and to be honest--i do not know nor believe other auto shops are better---all the ones i worked for there is something wrong with them--in any case--if someone is reading this--this is honestly the truth--no matter how hard to believe--in any case--the choice is yours--but just know what happened to me and other customers and employees before and after you shop here---but---i guess the best thing to say is this--if you shop there--forget about all this---how did they perform the work on your car???--was there price good??---did you hear you need additional parts after your first estimate???--why would you need a second list of parts???---from what i seen--they did not score good on these basic subjects---i am just trying to let be known what happened here cause it was wrong---wrong and compltely f'd up---with this--are these people worth your business??--good luck to all with finding a truly good honest shop with good quality work at a good price!!!!!

if you have read all this info i have posted you will know what happened up to now--i found a job somewhere else but was laid off there 2 weeks later--before starting at this new place i filed for unemployment given the fact they fired me for leaving early(with no warnings keep in mind)--well-while i was working at this place i was called by the unemployment agency about what had happened--the agency called meineke first---well--to make this short--they claimed to them that i quit my job which is false--they also said they were going to fax a document showing i was disciplined due to having an altercation with a customer-with this--different people take different things different ways--i was in the office and a customer was there and he said my name(as it was on my name tag)-i responded by saying what do you want---i have said this to people before and no one ever got funny about it--but this person did--so i decided to leave--to me this is a small incident--but none the less---i was never disciplined--i never signed any paper attesting to this event---so the point---even though this really has nothing to do with them firing me--they are trying to falsify documents to make me look bad(although i have not seen this document)---regardless of all the facts--i was a good dependable worker--i just want to come in to work and be left alone and do what i got to do and leave--i never bothered to be "friends" with the manager(aka kiss his a s s)--this and the fact i made him look stupid by pointing out he gave someone a promotion over me--this someone 65% of the time never came in on time--worked on 3 cars per day( i would work on 8-9) and he was always on the phone--they rewarded bad behavior--and i had to pick up his slack for this--in time i asked for a raise and he(JEFF STARK) looked at me like i was the a hole for wanting a raise(also after being there more than a year)-when denied i pointed out that he can give this person a raise for doing nothing but not me(i do not think he appreciated this comment)-this is how i made him look stupid--this is also the point where things got worse as they would retaliate against me--but i shall not get into all the little tiny details---but i will mention one incident--on a sunday--i was denied a lunch break--i was the only one there(as a gs)--ray would always come out and harrass me about standing around doing nothing when there was nothing to do--in any case--i was eating lunch one day--i had the bowl of soup in my hand--also i was talking to this girl--i was sitting there for maybe 15 minutes and he told me to clock out and go home cause i was doing nothing--in other words--i was denied a lunch break--the bottom line is i was fired cause i was unwilling to deal with the manager RAY GARCIA's harrasment that day--and they left me out in the cold with jobs being scarce--and now lying to the unemployment office about the conditions of my termination--these are truly bad people--and they will get what is coming to them----i know it seems like i ramble on with my typing--but hopefully someone will understand this--and just get a better insight as to how these people are--let alone if you would want to do business with them--i filed an appeal for the unemployment--i can imagine them repeating the same lies and hurting my chances for unemployment--truly horrible people here

this is an update---i found another job as a mechanic--mechanics need tool boxes---as i returned to this shop to pick up my toolbox it was missing---i could not take it with me when i picked up all my tools as it would not fit in my car---i told them i was comin back for it in a few weeks----they were told i would return for it----since they are impatient they decided to throw it away--i got no call, no warning of them disposing of my personal property--there was a total of 2 toolboxes there--1 had a padlock on it--this one with the padlock was broken off and things in my box missing-(antifreeze and a couple quarts of oil)--not a big deal but the point of the matter---so they robbed my belongs out of 1 box and just disposed of my other box---never have i seen a shop do this--and i have seen where other people leave and there things are just left alone---but this goes to show you the kinds of people these are-----this is my complete meineke weston experience story--just think about the little details i did not mention and the little reasons as to why they truly pissed me off--but they have no relevance to a rip off report--but all must know--i am mad for a reason--i decided to expose them--and them disposing of my personal property just illustrates further who these people are--these are bad people and i hope i saved a couple peoples money

this is a response to a response--by a "consumer" named nancy--first off--to slarify further about the incident that lead to my termination i must take you back 2 weeks prior--this was a saturday-i made $2 in commosions so was not to happy about that day--somehow the other guys were sold more work??-it was 15 minutes prior to me leaving and RAY wanted me to do an oil change--as he is handing me the keys he says "hurry up" in a snoty a*s way---so i decided to leave a little early this day-he told me as i was leaving that i should not bother to come in the next day(sunday)--i didn't say anything and i left--the next day-i get a call at 9:15-it was ray asking me where i was at--i told him he said that i should not come in today-he said fine and hung up on me-2 minutes later i got a call back(i am guessing he couldn't get anyone else to come in that day as i am the only one there on sunday)-so 2 minutes later he calls back and asks me to come in--i agreed--upon arrival he tells me "your not suppose to listen to me with things like that"----so now-with this incident in mind--if you read about what happened that lead to my termination-when he told me if i leave early i could considewr it automatic termination--i did not believe him---in terms of a spur of the moment thing and regretiing things--i do not---how would you like to work for someone like this?--how the f would you like if you had someone just out there being a total ballbuster about "your an hourly worker do something" when it wasn't busy?--would you appreciate this?-let alone i did work around the shop and somehow i was expected to do more while others got to work on there own cars and bikes--somehow the rules only applied to me---with this---especially this--how would you like to be told that you are standing around doing nothing when you are standing around waiting to complete a car and you could not cause it was the managers responsibilty to order me the fluids i needed to complete the job--and since he didn't order these fluids-i couldn't do anything-then have him come out and accuse you of this when it was his fault as to why i was standing around doing nothing---would you like to be treated like this NANCY??---with this, this manager became increasingly more impatient and harrasing as time went by---maybe they got pressure from people that things take to long--but i do not care--he should inform these people what is going on--not tell people they will be done in 10 minutes(cause this is what they customer wants to hear) and it cannot be done--then he would try to rush me to complete things--i was in the military--i was told in the air force to move with a sense of urgency-why?-cause someone's life could be on the line--he wanted me to move faster so he could make more money--the more cars i completed the more he made---how would you like to be treated like this NANCY?-me, i worked at my own pace and got things done and done CORRECTLY--when another employee started working there he moved--but also-virtually 30% of the cars he worked on came back for a problem, and not to mention he just simply didn't do a service he was suppose to do just to get the car out fast--but the managers here would rather have things in and out fast and deal with problems later--they already got paid-what would they care?--this is just an example of how these people operate--apparently i didn't move fast enough for them--with this-just a little inside knowledge but this same employee that allowed himself to be rushed by these people did $500 worth of damage to a car(body work)--they were taking this money out of his check--it seemed kind of funny cause for a couple weeks he was making over $225 in commisions on his check which is virtually impoissible--somehow others felt these weeks money was takin out of there checks---so basically they took money out of our checks to put in his so they can collect the money faster--i know i was missing 20 out of my paycheck-i mentioned it to RAY and told him where he is wrong and he said he would fix it--this went on for 3 days and that he would fix it--he never did--i gave up to avoid having problems---with this-this is also why i did not mention the fraud activity being conducted there-i did not want problems--how would you like to have money taken out of your check and then be told it would be fixed and it would never be fixed?--how would you like this NANCY???---

FOR FURTHER FRAUD AND MORE OF HOW IT OPERATES--there was a blue BMW there-there was an oil leak in the oil filter housing---well the "master tech" there "fixed" it--a week later the car came back--still leaking--so he sprayed it off with brake clean and let it go--they told him he "fixed" it---a week later the same thing--the point-i have seen this car come back 5 times--and every time all he did was clean it off--why?-cause he didn't want to go back to re do the job cause god forbid he should spend a couple hours re doing a car he wasn't going to get paid on so he can work on the other cars and actually get paid---

Now--in terms of envy you think i have--your way off--first off-i OWN my car-a BMW 325CI and i own my condo(on the beach) and have no mortgage--what am i envious of???----they have cars on a lease and mortgage payments on real estate in excess of $500k--they way to afford it is to milk as much money as they can out of you---and when given the oppurtunity--they will--i just don't like these fake a*s people--and i feel it is my duty to warn people as to what goes on here--

there is also a survey if you type in meineke weston on a google search--they control this survey--when i first read this there was a negative comment with somebody who had 2000 worth of engine work done and said there was loose bolts floating around---somehow these negative comments are erased--i posted on this as well and my negative comments were deleted--with this--i did not see any positive comments-and i do not think they would delete them

with all this--understand what the employee is going through--cause apparently you do not know--if the truth is to hard for you to comprehend that these are bad people-then keep living in fantasy land---remember-there are assholes,dicks and bitches--then there are straight up bad people---these are bad people-the manager ray is a bad a*****e cause i actually expected more from him as he worked with me in the back--instead he turned into a meineke weston office worker

It sounds as if there is much more to this than a former employee trying to enlighten the public. It seems as if this person is a bit envious of his managers and the company owners and may be telling a few tall tales to hurt the very people that employed him in this rough economy and when he and his manager had words it seems as if over reacted and now has been terminated for a bad decision on his part.

It is difficult when people are fired or choose to terminate their employment. Employee's often regret their impetuous / impulsive decisions, when they realize they have made a mistake in flying off the handle.

If this employee was so worried about his reputation about looking lazy, I wonder why if he felt all of these other people were ripping people off and he never stepped forward to speak to the customers and let them know, he obviously was present since he was able to write about it or he is making it all up to try to ruin a company's reputation.

I cannot give any credence to a report like this. I will still give this shop a chance and make my own choice.
