I decided to try Melaleuca becouse it was a home based business and my husband and i are really hurting for money. After the conference call with everyone they told me if I changed my mine I would get my money back. I changed my mind and sent them everything back they sent me. I even wrote a letter and put it in the box of products i returned. Its been two months later and they are still taking money out of my checking account and sending me products in the mail. In which I keep sending them back. I even talked to someone on the phone about canceling everything and they said o.k no problem. What a lie. Im going to have to change my checking account number because they keep taking money out of my account and checks are starting to bounce. How can they get away with this? What am I suppose to do?

Betty, according to the Preferred Customer Agreement that you signed, you must CANCEL your agreement. Otherwise, each month that you do not order, you will be sent a Backup Order as explained in the agreement.

Anyone can send products back for any reason for credit on their account. This does NOT cancel the agreement. You must do that in writing.

I have faxed a simple statement of cancellation for several customers over the years, and NONE received another order.

And another thing...if you had talked to someone at Melaleuca about canceling, they would not have just said ok. They would have told you it had to be in writing.

The reason they must have it in writing with your signature is because anyone could make a phone call and cancel someone else's account. The signature has to match the signature on the Preferred Customer Agreement to confirm that you, in fact, do want to cancel.

When guidelines are followed, as laid out in the signed Preferred Customer Agreement, there are no problems.
