I wanted to start a home business. But of course I had to buy something first. Cost me a lot. And they want to send it to you every month weather you need it or not.
When I signed up I signed a paper that said if I wasn't happy with the products they would cancel!!! All it takes is a phone call. So I called them and told them their products were no good and did not want to use them any more.
They told me they were going to continue to send them anyway.
What happened to these nice so nice people. Now my credit card is in their hands for anything they want to do.
What happened to "Just say no".

Read your agreement

I really get tired of reading these reports about Melaleuca. People who enroll with Melaleuca then complain are either deaf or stupid.

When you enroll with Melaleuca you call in to the company and speak with a representiave. That representive will ask that person explain to me what you understand about the back up order.  They have to explaine the process, and if they can't the representiave will explain it to them and ask them do you understand it now. And the person always says yes.  These conversations are recorded. Not only that you have an agreement that you sign that tells you the same thing. Read it.

Whe you enroll with Melaleuca you have 4 opitions

1.  Buy these great products that you will use cleaning or supplements make up or what ever.

2.  If you do not want to shop for the month you can put your account on hold for the month as long as you let the company know by the last day of the month.  And then reactivate it when you are ready to shop again.

3. Cancel your account again let them know by the last day of the month!!!

4 If you do not shop or let them know something by the last day of the month they will send the backorder that YOU have picked out, and bill it to your account. As agreed upon in your contract that you signed.

Now tell me where is this Melaleuca's fault that you get an order that you don't want?

It looks clear to me that some people just want someone to complain about.

And by the way Melaleuca has an A+ rating with the BBB. check it out.

And for those who want to start a business. Well if you can start a business under 29 dollares for the membership fee. And what it cost you to get the products every month. And by the way you can't very well tell others about the products if you don't use them and know how good they are now can you.

Melaleuca tells you this is a business you have to work. It isn't going to fall in your lap. And it has been my experience that people who want to work this business don't want to put the time or effort into it.  They do not want to talk to people they know and they want everyone else to do the work for them. And it just don't work like that.  So say what you will the business is like any other job. If you don't work you don't get paid.

Reading the contract is critical

I was reading the contract just hours ago. It does clearly state that you are to mail your cancellation to the address provided on the contract, which you must sign before becoming a preferred customer. As for the products not working well.... are you kidding? As far as expense. People spent the same money at the store every month and don't get the benefits! Melaleuca is an awesome company.

I knew from the beginning what was expected. I love the company, the employees, and the products. They only charge you if you don't make your monthly base point. If you make it no sweat! It shows you use the products and why refer people to the melalueca Site if you don't use/ back their product line? Read contracts before you sign and commit!!! It is as simple as that!

I am a director with Melaleuca. I love the company, I love the products, and I love my job. I work with a GREAT mentoring team.

Had you CALLED them and asked how to unenroll they would have told you to snail mail a letter to them and unenrolled you. On our team we even help the people who wish to discontinue their membership.

I love my safer non toxic products and I love knowing that if I don't love a product( ridiculous!) I can send it back for a full refund. Just for fun try this..... go to Walmart, buy some Windex, go home, use the whole bottle, take it back two months later and tell them you want your money back. When they are done rolling on the floor laughing I am sure they will tell you no, lol.

i absolutely loooove melaleuca. I have a 5 month old daughter and the fact that they make safe, non toxic products is one of the main reasons that I love them so much. Plus they work well. In the agreement that you have to sign specifically states "I may cancel this agreement for any reason at any time by giving WRITTEN notice to Melaleuca bearing my original signature, printed name, address and customer number. Written cancellations will be effective upon receipt by Melaleuca. Cancellation notices must be Mailed(not faxed) to Melaleuca." Also the ONLY reason that they would send you your back-up order is if you didn't order your monthly basepoints. Which they also tell you about. Maybe you should reread your agreements. I'm sorry that you don't wash your hair, brush your teeth,or clean your house to where you would need these prodcts. Also, if this was a scam they would not have been around for 18 years or registered with the BBB.

It is unfortunant that so many people get involved in these types of programs and do not read the agreements.

The policies of this company are clearly stated. To report a company for something you consider fraudulent, when it is clear you did not read the company policies should be illegal.
In addition not all people will like all products. Personally I enjoy the Melaleuca product line. I have had nothing but a positive experience with Melaleuca, probably because I did read my contract and researched the company before signing on.

Melaleuca is a line of products, in my opinion good ones, the company does not force any one to sell the products. That is an individual choice that should include reading all the fine print before signing on the bottom line.
Sincerely,

I was with Melaleuca up until a month or so ago, and I decided that I could not be a part of it anymore. As stated in the business kit, I mailed a request to cancel. In the original agreement that you signed, it states that you must send this in writing, no phone calls or fax.

They did this right away, even going so far as to call and confirm to me that they had received it and were taking care of it right away.
AS with anything else, you need to make sure you read everything before you sign it.

I hope that you were able to resolve this, and are able to find a home business that is more to your liking.I am still looking myself.
