I joined Melaleuca a couple of years ago. I do have to say, I thought the products were OK, however a overpriced. In about OCT 2008, I decided I didnt want any part of it anymore and called to cancel. I found the customer service rep on the phone was very rude and informed me that I needed a written letter to get out of this. Although I found this a horrible concept, I agreed to write the letter. I sent a letter and sure enough the next month I still got a package of overpriced goods and my bank account was still deducted. This made me angry, but I didnt worry, the debit card melaleuca had for me was about to expire and I would be getting a new one. December I get a call while at work by another rude customer service rep who informed me my debit card was no longer good and if I wanted to keep receiving their great products, I would need to give her another card number. I laughed and explained to her that I would not be giving them another card and I had already sent a letter that was obviously ignored. I hung up. Then in Febuary A strange thing happened.

I got another package and sure enough, my bank account was deducted again. How did they get my new card information? Basically, they figured out that I probably had the same number on the card, just a new expiration date. I called customer service again and I was assured this would be looked into and they said the would call me back. I had to go out of town on business and they never called. Well, here we are now in march and YEP, they sent me another package and charged me again, this time causing a insufficiant fund charge of 17 bucks. I called customer service again, I actually got a nice guy this time, He even told me that he saw that they DID recieve my cancellation letter in january (although I sent it in OCT) and he didnt understand why they were still sending me crap. He said he would talk to his supervisor and get back to be. Somehow I dont think he will.

So here i sit about to write a 2nd letter, I dont know what my next step will be. I think I need to go down to the restaurant down the street from my house where they hold weekly Melaleuca meetings and spend my time warning people to stay away from this mess.

I am happy to report that the customer service rep actually called me back! Unfortunately it didnt help. After he had already told me that he was looking at my account and saw that I sent a cancellation letter, he now says that his superviser has told him that I have to send another letter. This is getting outragious! They are acting like they dont have the letter now. I guess im going to have to contact the attorney general. Stay away from this crappy company!
